Concrete Talk

Had a conversation this week about pouring large amounts of concrete in the summer. My advice was to add ice to the mix. Concrete doesn't "dry". It cures. It cures at a high temperature which is harder in the summer since there is a window of time when it is curing at the proper rate. Adding ice will keep the temperature down for a while longer and allow more time to set and avoid thermal cracking. As always, keep the questions coming and let us know how we can help.
